Starting with a general description of the site – its chronology, architectural complexity, spatial implantation and surrounding landscape – it addresses its integration into large-scale interaction networks (in which people, animals, and objects in exotic raw materials circulated), the relevance of funerary contexts and the handling of human remains in its biography and the ceremonial practices and structures that underscore its status as a centre of great symbolism.

The exhibition is also a privileged introduction to the megalithic (Reguengos de Monsaraz) and ditched enclosure (north and south) routes in the Alentejo countryside, contextualising Perdigões at local and regional levels.
